Pam O’Hara of BatchBlue at Providence Geeks

Friday, May 25th, 2007

Pam O’Hara and Sean Ransom spoke about BatchBlue to an well-fed and enthusiastic crowd at the May 2007 geek dinner. Attendees got to hear about BatchBlue’s innovative take on contact management systems, and anyone who parted with a business card went home with the BatchBlue roast of coffee beans. I interviewed Pam after the talk, and the video is available on YouTube.

Big thanks to Pam, Sean, and all the Providence geeks who turned out for yet another great geek dinner!

... the center would operate on a membership model and seek to become a physical, cultural and virtual nexus for the entire sector, said Providence Geeks co-founder Jack Templin, who is consulting on the project.

In addition to providing space for several companies that show potential to grow substantially, the center would provide meeting space and offer workshops, training and other programming for everyone in the sector, Templin said.

Last night’s geek dinner had one of our biggest turnouts; at one point, I counted 60 people in the room! This standing-room only crowd got to hear from pay-per-click experts Working Planet. I learned a few things about online ad campaigns that I had no idea about. Check out the video clip above for a three-minute interview with Soren Ryherd of Working Planet.

Big thanks to Soren and Vida from Working Planet, and to all the geeks who turned out to make this a successful event!
