Providence Geek Co-Founder in the News

Congrats to Jack Templin, who appears on the front page of the current Providence Business News with coverage of the Information Technology & Digital Media Center that he’s pulling together:

... the center would operate on a membership model and seek to become a physical, cultural and virtual nexus for the entire sector, said Providence Geeks co-founder Jack Templin, who is consulting on the project.

In addition to providing space for several companies that show potential to grow substantially, the center would provide meeting space and offer workshops, training and other programming for everyone in the sector, Templin said.

Investment Instruments President Owen Johnson to Present Wares at Wed. 1/24 Geek Dinner

Providence Geek and Investment Instruments President Owen Johnson will be showing off his startup’s wares at tomorrow’s Geek Dinner.

Creator of systems and services for the real estate industry, Investment
Instruments first two systems are iiProperty, an online property
management solution, and the Rentometer, a comparative market analysis site for rentals. Owen will give a quick overview of his company and the changes afoot in the real estate industry, and then walkthrough
highlights of each system. Both systems are built using Ruby on Rails
and MySQL.
