RI Nexus launched at Last Night’s Geek Dinner

Posted by Jack

Saul Kaplan, Executive Director of the RI Economic Development Corporation, and I had the pleasure of addressing a standing-room-only crowd at last night’s Geek Dinner. We presented RI Nexus – a brand new RIEDC initiative for fostering the state’s info-tech & digital media community. In particular we focused on RI Nexus’s online dimension – RINexus.com. The site is an hub dedicated to information sharing and community building within the sector. The site is now up and open for business – check it out. And oh yeah, register and create a profile between now Oct. 15th and qualify to win the new iPod Touch!

More to come soon about last night including, of course, the great presentation by Traction Software.

With all the interesting stuff we’re already seeing at Prov Geeks, I can’t wait to see what comes around our neighborhood with this additional support from the EDC.

And hey, I hope that my stepping on your Zune joke doesn’t disqualify me from the iPod contest… ;)
